Joel Gorelick, of Schererville, previously served as President and Chief Administrative Officer of Northwest Indiana BanCorp and its subsidiary Peoples Bank SB, where he began working in 1983. Prior to his banking career, Gorelick served in the United States Marine Corps. Active within his community, he serves as Board Chairman of the Lake County Economic Alliance and has previously served as President of the Northwest Indiana Boys & Girls Club and Chairman of the Board of the Northwest Indiana Regional Development Corporation. Gorelick was recognized in the year 2000 as Financial Services Advocate by the Indiana District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration and as Board Member of the Year by the National Association for Development Companies. He holds an undergraduate degree from Ball State University, a master’s degree from Indiana University Northwest and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
