Located in South Bend, Indiana, Trek10 is an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) company, using that gateway to help customers across the country move their IT infrastructure to the Cloud. Founded by Andrew Warzon, Jim Abercrombie, and Shane Fimbel in early 2014, Trek10 is a globally recognized Amazon Web Services Consulting Partner as well as one of only a handful of Docker Authorized Consulting Partners in the world. With significant expertise in architecting and implementing solutions that leverage Amazon Web Services (AWS), Trek10 specializes in using cutting-edge offerings, such as Lambda, alongside container-based and event-driven architectures to design, build, and support new IT environments for customers in the Cloud.
In early 2015, with capital allocated by the SSBCI program, Elevate Ventures invested $150,000 in Trek10 as part of the company’s initial outside funding. Despite rapid growth, Trek10 needed capital to hire talented high-tech workers to expand its team and service the customers in its sales pipeline. The company leveraged the $150,000 commitment from Elevate Ventures to raise a total of $500,000 of convertible debt to accomplish those goals. Since then, Trek10 has created and retained six high-paying technology-related positions, four of which are in Indiana. Moreover, it has experienced 3X growth in revenue from Q1 2015, the quarter before financing, to Q4 2015. To continue building on its strong momentum, Trek10 raised an equity round of $450K at the end of 2015. This investment came from a highly strategic corporate venture investor who hopes to provide significant business development synergies along with additional growth capital. Trek10 is poised for an exciting ride in years to come.
