DENSO, the world's second-largest mobility supplier, announced that its affiliate DENSO Products and Services Americas Inc. will open a new distribution center in Jeffersonville, creating up to 50 new jobs by 2023.

"The cultural and economic relationships between Indiana and Japan run deep, and DENSO's expansion to Indiana will further solidify our partnership and strengthen the network of nearly 300 Japanese businesses operating her and creating quality job opportunities for Hoosiers."

The Japan-based company will invest more than $9.5 million to lease and equip 312,000 square feet of warehouse space at 301 Logistics Ave. in the River Ridge Commerce Center in Jeffersonville. The new facility will help DENSO achieve higher fill rates, manage efficient inventory, control costs and meet growth targets. The company plans to invest $3 million in new technology, including warehouse management software to control inventory, optimize supply chain management and enhance customer service.

Hiring is underway to add up to 50 new full-time jobs, including warehouse, management and administrative positions.
