CAPITAL REGION

The Capital Region is a manufacturing hub for the military and an administrative center for the state’s defense development. Allison Transmission, Rolls Royce, Raytheon and a host of other firms work with the Department of Defense to develop, test and build advanced technologies to guard the nation. Indianapolis is home to the state’s Joint Forces Headquarters and the 38th Infantry Division, one of eight National Guard IDs. Its universities are training graduates in STEM-related disciplines, including engineering, computer science, data science and informatics. The Capital Region is a defense ecosystem on the rise.
